Enel shareholders
Enel S.p.A. share capital totaled 10,166,679,946 euros at December 31, 2021, comprising 10,166,679,946 ordinary shares with a par value of 1.00 euro each, and did not change compared to December 31, 2020. In 2021, Enel S.p.A. purchased a total of 1,620,000 treasury shares to service the long-term incentives plan (“LTI Plan”) for 2021 intended for the management of Enel and/or its subsidiaries.
Significant shareholders
At December 31, 2021, the shareholders with greater than a 3% interest in the Company were the Italian Ministry for the Economy and Finance (with 23.585%), BlackRock Inc. (with 5.000%), and Capital Research and Management Company (with 5.000%, held for the purposes of asset management).
